In the second quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in Costa Rica showcased varied trends in downloads and active user metrics. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited unique patterns worth noting.

Google Maps maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 3K to 4K. The highest download count was 4.2K in late April. Active users experienced slight variations, starting at 12.9K and ending the quarter at 11.7K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw its downloads peak at 3.3K in mid-April, with numbers generally hovering around 2K to 2.5K. Active user engagement remained robust, ranging from 198K to 240K, showcasing a stable user base throughout the quarter.

Google Earth recorded a peak in downloads in late May with 888, while user activity showed a gradual decline from 5.3K to 4.2K by the end of June.

MapXplorer: Navigation, Radar reported a modest revenue increase, peaking at $190 in late June. Downloads were highest at the start of the quarter with 531, and active users experienced a slight increase towards the end, reaching 722.

CarbitLink-EasyConnection maintained consistent download numbers around 130, with a slight increase in late June. Active users remained stable, starting at 1.4K and ending the quarter at 1.5K.
